Stacy DeNovo is a young and talented baker who has a pastry shop in Chicago. She runs the shop with her friend Kevin. Kevin has a daughter Olivia, who is a very precocious young girl. Olivia looks up to Stacy as an elder sister. Stacy comes to know that Kevin has registered in a baking competition, going to take place in Belgravia.

Stacy is reluctant to go there as she had some uncomfortable remainders of Christmas when she was in a relationship with this guy named Paul. It makes her remember that she broke up with Paul. A kind man in the street told Stacy to go to the competition, so she agrees to go there with Olivia and Kevin.

After reaching Belgravia, she runs into Lady Margaret Delacourt, Duchess of Montenaro, the fiancée of Crown Prince Edward of Belgravia. Lady Margaret is identical to Stacy. Both of them get shocked as they see each other because they both look so similar.

Switching Places

Lady Margaret suggested that they switch places for two days and switch back again before Stacy’s competition and Lady Margaret and Prince Edward’s marriage. Stacy disagreed, but Margaret told her that she’d sponsor Olivia as a student in Belgravia's acclaimed summer ballet program. So Stacy agrees.

Olivia immediately finds out that it is not Stacy, and they have switched their places. After getting switched, they live one another’s life. It happens that they had to switch for more time. The Prince starts falling in love with Stacy and Kevin with Lady Margaret.

The Royal Wedding

At the baking competition, Lady Margaret clears Prince Edward that it was not her, and she switched her place with Stacy and admitted that she doesn’t love him. The two rush to the competition to resolve matters.

Stacy wins the competition and seeing Prince Edward there, she walks away, but Edward stops and tells her that he is in love with her. Princes Edward and Stacy then marry each other after a year and becomes the princess of Belgravia.
